The Thanksgiving menu wouldn't be complete without serving creamy mashed potatoes.
This simple but beloved side is perfect for any main dish. Imagine your plate with a delicious turkey, creamy mashed potatoes, and gravy, it’s simply a perfect meal.
Get ready to switch from the traditional way of making this recipe in your kitchen and move to your Keveri H1.
Prepare your potato masher and let’s fire up the H1!
INGREDIENTS:
Serves 5+
2.2 LB of potatoes
100 g butter
1 Garlic
1 cup of Milk
¼ cup of Cream
¼ cup of parsley minced
Salt
Ground black pepper
Herbs bouquet:
Thyme
Rosemary
Bay leaves
SUPPLIES:
2-3 lb of lump charcoal
High-Temperature Gloves
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1:
Fire up the H1 in Classic Grill Mode at 300°F according to the manual instructions or the Masterclass video.
Step 2:
Wash the potatoes and then pat dry.
Step 3:
Drizzle olive oil on the potatoes and wrap it with foil paper.
Peel the top cover of the garlic head, put some ground black pepper and olive oil. Wrap it with foil.
Step 4:
Place the potatoes and the garlic into the H1 in the bottom rack position for about 50 minutes or until you can trespass easily with a knife.
Step 5:
Remove the potatoes and the garlic from the H1. Peel the potatoes.
Step 6:
In a skillet, combine milk with herb bouquet, salt, and pepper. Leave it in the H1 until it starts bubbling at the edges. Remove from the H1.
Step 7:
Mash the potatoes with a potato masher, and repeat several times until they are well mashed or only have small pieces left.
Step 8:
Add the butter, garlic paste, and slowly incorporate the warm milk, and blend all the ingredients as far as you have a uniform consistency.
Step 9:
Mince the parsley and set it on top of the mashed potatoes.
Cook's Notes:
You can make a twist on the traditional recipe and mix potatoes with sweet potatoes, the outcome will be delicious!
